I have been a member of Duo for about 2 months now. Initially, I was very skeptical about signing up given the costs of the service.
However, dating apps were not working for me, and I didn't want to be single for the rest of my life. I worked closely with Jennifer Lee. She was awesome to work with and she really tries her best to find a suitable match for you while being realistic. With a week or two of signing up, she sent me a dozen or so profiles for me to consider. What I love about Duo is that it filters out the vast majority of single people who are just looking for casual dating. Trust me, this filter will save you time and heartbreak when looking for a serious relationship when casual relationships have become acceptable. I used dating apps for years and dated people for weeks or months only to find out that they are not ready for a serious relationship. Duo only matches you with people who are serious.
Of course, this service does not guarantee love or marriage because it's really up to you to make it happen to a certain degree. I would think of Duo as a bridge that connects two people that otherwise would not have met.
Although I haven't yet started a relationship with someone through Duo at this moment, I am optimistic that this will lead to a great outcome. This service already feels very different compared to a dating app. There are no guarantees (especially with love) but not trying anything will increase your chances of failure. Trying can come in different ways but for me Duo was exactly what I was looking for. I am truly happy with my experience so far and I am hopeful this will lead to an amazing outcome! Thank you Duo !
