42 Korean men and women participated… some became new couples
A meeting place for LA’s Korean community… Next event scheduled for New York in February

DUO America’s “Speed Event,” held in LA on August 2nd, was met with enthusiastic participation and ended in great success. During the event, participants had seven minutes each to share honest conversations and get to know one another.
The atmosphere was filled with laughter and excitement, and some participants experienced the joy of becoming new couples through this meaningful gathering.
The LA event especially drew strong interest from Korean communities in other states as well.
Participants commented, “In the U.S., there aren’t many opportunities for Koreans to meet naturally, so we’re really happy that such a meaningful event was organized,” and “It was truly a sweet and memorable day,” leaving warm feedback that made the atmosphere even more heartwarming.
Encouraged by this success, DUO America announced that another Speed Event will be held in New York on February 14th, 2026. They added, “We will continue to create various programs so that genuine and wholesome connections between men and women can flourish within the Korean American community.”
